Chapter President – Gary Grindle

As President, Mr. Grindle directs pursuit of our chapter's overall mission, directs satisfaction of operations and compliance needs, and supports initiatives to improve cybersecurity networking and education opportunities to members in Southern Arizona and beyond. Gary is a graduate of The University of Arizona with master’s degrees in Cybersecurity and Management Information Systems. He has maintained a CISSP certification since November 2014 and a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) (Master) certification since January 2023. He is currently working as an Adjunct Faculty Instructor teaching Cybersecurity courses online for the IT program at Arizona State University. He previously worked over 18 years for L3 Technologies and BAE Systems as a Cybersecurity and Systems Support Manager for the U.S. Air Force COMPASS CALL program on Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Arizona.



Chapter Treasurer – Troy Adams

As Treasurer, Mr. Adams manages the finances for our chapter. Troy is a graduate of the University of Arizona with master’s degrees in management information systems and Cybersecurity.  He has maintained his Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification since 2016, Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification since 2017, and teaches cybersecurity topics at Arizona State University.  He serves as a Cyber Engagement Specialist at the Health Sector Cybersecurity Coordination Center at the US Department of Health and Human Services, and is the Health Sector Chief for Arizona InfraGard.



Chapter Membership Chair – Mary Lee Schimmel

As Membership Chair, Ms. Schimmel manages the memberships for our chapter. Mary Lee is a graduate of the University of Arizona with a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Cybersecurity. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism/Political Science from Northern Arizona University. Mary Lee has maintained a CISSP certification since 2017 and holds a Webmaster Certificate from the University of Arizona. Mary Lee is currently working as a Systems Security Engineer for Raytheon Technologies in Tucson, Arizona.



Chapter Communications Chair – Alexander Neff

As Communications Chair, Mr. Neff manages the website for our chapter.  Alex is a graduate of The University of Arizona with a master’s degree in Management Information Systems and a graduate of Northern Arizona University with a bachelor’s degree in Technology Management.  Alex has maintained an active CISSP certification since 2018, a Certified Ethical Hacker since 2017 and a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) as of 2023.  Alex is currently working for Faro Health as their Sr. Director of Information Security and Compliance and is an Instructor for Arizona State University.
